The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released two new publications for parents as part of its “Learn the Signs, Act Early” program, which seeks to improve early identification of children with autism and other developmental disabilities. The booklet “Milestone Moments” includes milestone checklists and tips to help parents support their child’s development from 2 months to 5 years. The second publication, a brochure called “Track Your Child’s Developmental Milestones,” includes a checklist of key milestones from 6 months to 4 years and a message for parents about what to do if developmental concerns arise.
